Real Life Connections

In today's society there is too much emphasis on "doing" and not enough on "being". The focus on developing new programs or "another bible study" reflects this thinking. In an already stressed out, hurried society, this structured thinking just creates more stress. We don’t need another person teaching, or another lesson to do. What we need is true fellowship and caring, relational reality with biblical foundations. We need more time to breath, to laugh, to live.

As Beth and I have grown in our relationship with Christ we have realized how important connections with Christian friends are (God’s family at its finest). A sharing-caring-healing group knit together in Christ’s love. People to share the stress of life with, scattering away the feeling of isolation and loneliness. People to share the joys of life with, multiplying everyone’s hope. Sometimes all it takes is a simple phone call from a friend that says without words “I care”.

One day a few years ago while reading scriptures, God showed me what is missing in my life. When I shared this with Beth, she said she has been getting the same thing in her quiet time. God had led us both to the same scripture, 1 Timothy 6:19.

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.” …so that they may take hold of real life. 1 Tim 6:19 (NLT)

Since then God has given us a vision to share this with others, and we feel more and more convicted each day. The first question is how do we achieve this Real Life?

Beth and I began to think about what it would look like…how we could accomplish this. We call it Real Life Connections; a new ministry with an old format; small, personal, and life changing. We hope to help people develop a REAL relationship with Christ; one with Redemption, Empowerment, Assurance, and Love in Christ which leads to a LIFE that is rich in Love, Inspiration, Freedom, and Everlasting!

This ministry is composed of people wanting to grow closer to our Lord and discover a life that is real; a life that is rich in our Lord, Jesus Christ; a REAL LIFE.

REAL LIFE - a ministry about what matters most.
